Before you book a trip with Raw & Unwind Safaris, please take the time to read and understand what terms and conditions apply to your booking. For most of our trips, you will be booking directly with Raw & Unwind Safaris so our Booking Conditions and any applicable Special Conditions will apply.
The Booking Conditions you agree to when you make your booking apply to your tour.
1. General terms
These terms and conditions apply to all tours and services provided by rawunwindsafaris.com. By booking a tour or service with us, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. Booking and Payment:
- All tours and services must be booked and paid for in advance. Payment can be made by Mpesa or bank transfer.
- A deposit of 50% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the tour start date.
- If a booking is made within 30 days of the tour start date, full payment must be made at the time of booking.
- Any additional costs incurred during the tour, such as meals or entrance fees, must be paid for by the customer.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy:
- If a customer cancels a tour more than 30 days before the tour start date, they will receive a full refund of their deposit.
- If a customer cancels a tour between 15 and 30 days before the tour start date, they will receive a 50% refund of their deposit.
- If a customer cancels a tour within 15 days of the tour start date, they will not be eligible for a refund.
- If the tour is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, such as bad weather or government restrictions, a full refund will be provided.
4. Tour Itinerary:
* Our tour itineraries are subject to change without notice due to unforeseen circumstances or changes in local conditions.
* We reserve the right to make changes to the tour itinerary for the safety and well-being of our customers.
5. Liability:
- We will not be liable for any damages or injuries incurred during the tour. Customers are responsible for their own safety and well-being.
- Customers are responsible for obtaining any necessary travel documents and vaccinations before the tour.
- We are not responsible for any lost or stolen personal belongings during the tour.
6.Code of Conduct:
- Customers are expected to behave in a respectful and appropriate manner towards the local culture and heritage sites.
- Customers must abide by any rules or regulations set by the heritage sites or local authorities.
- Any customers found to be behaving in an inappropriate or disrespectful manner will be removed from the tour without a refund.
Cancellation due to Force Majeure
- If a trip is cancelled due to a Force Majeure Event, we can offer you a choice of: a 100% credit of monies paid for your trip; or a refund minus unrecoverable costs.
- If the cancellation due to a Force Majeure Event occurs after a trip has commenced, we can offer you a choice of a pro-rata:
- 100% credit for the days that remain on your trip; or
refund minus unrecoverable costs of the days that remain on your trip.
A “Force Majeure Event” includes but is not limited to: acts of God; war; civil commotion; riot; blockade or embargo; fire; explosion; breakdown; union dispute; earthquake; epidemic, pandemic or other health emergency; flood; windstorm or other extreme weather event; lack or failure of courses of supply; passage of any law, order, proclamation, regulation, ordinance, demand, requisition or requirement or any other act of any government authority, beyond the reasonable control of the parties, whether or not foreseeable, which would make it dangerous or not viable for a trip to commence or continue.
In the event of any cancellation, there will be no claim for damages by either party against the other and we are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.
